Management Qualifications
There are a wide range of management awards available to choose from. Choosing one to suit your needs will depend on the time that you have to complete a course and the level that you wish to achieve.
NVQ
Most colleges will provide an NVQ level 3, 4 and 5 in Management. They are likely to be linked to the Chartered Management Institute or an equivalent awarding body.
Institute of Leadership and Management – ILM
ILM offer qualifications that cover all aspects of management and leadership. They range from level 2 to level 7 of the UK National Qualifications Framework and are unit based. This means that you can do a number of different units that build up into larger qualifications.
Postgraduate and professional courses
Once again these vary in the level of work involved and the qualification achieved. These courses are usually run by local universities and colleges.
